Bharatpur, April 2
Bharatpur Metropolitan City Mayor Renu Dahal announces that the Metropolitan City will provide land to popular comedian and social activist Sitaram Kattel ‘Dhurmus’ in order to construct an international cricket stadium.
After successfully completing four projects to rehabilitate earthquake survivors and some backward communities in various parts of the country, Dhurmus has recently announced a campaign to build the international cricket stadium.
Following the announcement, suggestions are pouring in about possible locations.
In this context, Mayor Dahal today organised a press conference to announce that the City is ready to provide not only the land, but also other financial and physical supports.
She claimed that Chitwan would be the best location for construction of the stadium as it lies at the centre of the country and it also has sufficient land.
Dahal informed that she would write to Dhurmus offering the land today itself.
Likewise, a meeting of the City Executive has been called for today to endorse the Mayor’s proposal.
