Bharatpur City announces budget of Rs 3.34 billion

The Bharatpur Metropolitan City has brought a budget of Rs 3.34 billion for the next fiscal year 2018/19 on Sunday.

Rs 1.705 billion has been allocated for recurrent expenditure and Rs 1.62 billion has been allocated for the capital expenditure.

Rs 45 million has been allocated for economic development, Rs 590 million for infrastructure and urban development, Rs 120 million for environment and disaster management, and Rs 356.4 million for organisational development and service delivery.

Major projects including construction of a flyover from Narayangadh to Ring Road, smart city, medical city, tourism park, cricket field, overhead bridge, Bharatpur airport renovation, operation of Meghauli airport, construction of electronic crematorium, among others have been given priority in the budget.

Likewise, parking management, construction of engineering college, auto land, embankment at Narayani River, culvert construction among others have also been stressed in the budget announcement.
