Dhangadhi, December 11

Nepali Congress leader and the wife of outgoing Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Arzu Rana Deuba, says she will take initiatives to make her rival candidate Narad Muni Rana Tharu become a minister in the new government.

Deuba says Tharu needs to become the minister in order to develop his constituency and she will take initiatives for that.

Earlier, CPN-UML’s Tharu had defeated Deuba in Kailali-5.

Meanwhile, Deuba says she lost the polls due to noncooperation from the party. It is reported of late that influential Congress leader in the district, Pushkar Nath Ojha, acted against Deuba.

She also says ethnic and regional agendas also contributed to her defeat.

Deuba had organised a press meeting in Dhangadhi today to thank her voters and supporters. She said on the occasion that she would continue working for development of the constituency.
