Of them, 318 were booked for not reporting to work on time and other 162 for violating the official dress code, Centre’s spokesperson Bishnu Raj Lamichhane says.

He informs the Centre has directed the chiefs of the offices concerned to take departmental action against the employees found at fault.

The Centre, in the last  fiscal year, had recommended departmental action against 2,340 government employees for not following the office time and dress rules after monitoring 1,140 offices in 52 districts across the country.
