ACC U-19 Asia Cup Qualifier: Nepal team off to Malaysia

Kathmandu, September 8

Nepal’s U-19 cricket team on Friday left for Malaysia to participate in the ACC Asia Cup Qualifier (East region).

Nepal have been placed in Group A of the qualifier that comprises Singapore, Thailand and Bhutan.

Nepal hope to win the tournament to qualify for the U-19 Asia Cup and will play against youth teams from test nations including India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Dipendra Singh Airee will captain the Nepali team for the first time. Binod Das and Kalam Ali are coaching the team.

Indian trainer Monty Desai had conducted a 10-day session on batting for the team.
