ACC U-19 Asia Cup Cricket: Nepal secure eight-wicket victory over Malaysia

Nepal on Tuesday secured an easy eight-wicket victory over Malaysia in their last match of the ACC U-19 Asia Cup Cricket in Kuala Lumpur.

In the match delayed and reduced to 24 overs due to the rain, the hosts had posted a meagre 46-run target to Nepal, which the opponents accomplished at the loss of just two wickets in 5.3 overs.

Anil Sah contributed the highest of 26 runs to Nepal’s victory. Not-out Bhim Sarki contributed three runs.

Nepal’s skipper Dipendra Singh Airee made two sixes after opener Aashif Shekh made four runs.

In the first innings, Malaysia had lost all wickets in just 15.3 overs. They had made just 45 runs then.

Sandeep Lamichhane, Airee, Sahab Alam and Sah took five, two, two and one wickets for Nepal.

Earlier, Nepal had lost to Bangladesh and won India.
