To mark International Women’s Day, Hyatt Regency Kathmandu partnered with Media 9 Pvt Ltd for the second consecutive year to organise the HyattTM WOW Women Achievers Awards 2018 in line with the International Women’s day campaign theme, Press for
Progress.
Women in five categories were honoured at the event, which saw the participation of a distinguished panel that helped select the honourees.
The honours were presented in the following categories:
‐ Entrepreneurship
‐ Arts
‐ Social Activism/Service
‐ Leadership
‐ Inspiring Woman of the Year
The program started with a panel discussion by Amuda Mishra, the founder and executive director of The Ujyalo Foundation, and panellists Samiksha Rai, founder, Pack My Lunch, Srishti KC, founder, Blind Rocks, Samriddhi Rai, Singer,Dr Tseten Yonjan Tamang, surgeon, Sadiccha Shrestha, Miss Nepal 2010 and politician Ranju Darshana.
Awards were presented to Aayushi KC (Entrepreneurship), Ranju Darshana (Leadership), Shailee Basnet (The Arts), Sristi KC (Social
Activism/Service) and Dr Tseten Yonjan Tamang (Inspiring Woman of the Year).
