Kathmandu, April 6
President Bidya Devi Bhandari has attended a reception organised by former king Gyandendra Shah on the occasion of his grandson Hridayendra’s upanayana (the sacred thread ceremony).
Also in attendance at the function organised at the Soaltee Hotel in Kathmandu were Madheshi Morcha leader Rajendra Mahato and various ministers of the government. Popular faces such as actor Rajesh Hamal were also seen at the reception.
The former king, who had attended the wedding of President Bhandar a few months ago, received the Head of State at the function.
पूर्वराजाका नातिको ब्रतबन्ध भोजमा राष्ट्रपति विद्या भण्डारी सहभागी भएकी छिन् । यसअघि शीतलनिवासमा राष्ट्रपतिकी छोरीको विवाहमा ज्ञानेन्द्रले निम्तो मानेका थिए । त्यसैको पैंचो तिर्न उनी पूर्वराजाका नातिको ब्रतबबन्धमा पुगेकी हुन् ।
