Police on Thursday arrested Madhesh secession activist CK Raut from his own residence in Janakpur of Dhanusha district.

Raut is accused of carrying out anti-election activities and calling people to boycott voting.

SP Chakra Bahadur Singh says he was arrested from his rented residence for his involvement in the anti-election activities.

It has been learned that no one from his own village in Mahadeva of Saptari district has cast votes so far owing to Raut’s call.
