Energy Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has embarked on a four-day official visit of China to hold bilateral and multilateral discussions on issues of Chinese investment in Nepal’s hydropower sector.
According to the Minister’s Secretariat, he is scheduled to hold talks with Beijing on the Chinese contractors’ failing to complete Nepal-based hydropower projects on time.
Likewise, discussions with the authorities on the construction of West Seti and Budi Gandaki hydroelectric projects are also on the minister’s visit agenda.
He is also scheduled to inspect a project site of Three Gorges Corporation.
