Kathmandu, April 20
A temporary police staffer will get more than Rs 60,000 in total for his/her job during the local level elections scheduled for May 14.
A Cabinet meeting held on Thursday made the decision.
The meeting decided to provide a salary of Rs 51,000 for 55 days on duty. Likewise, Rs 7,100 would be provided for uniforms.
The personnel would be provided with a special allowance of Rs 250 per day for total seven days including the voting day. Likewise, they would get Rs 250 per day for lunch for these seven days.
Likewise, each of the personnel would get an accident insurance of Rs 200,000 and health insurance of Rs 150,000.
Total 75,000 temporary cops have been recruited for the May 14 elections.
