(Updated) Death toll in early morning Trishuli bus plunge reaches 22



Kathmandu, August 26

At least 22 people have been killed and as many injured after a bus they were on plunged in the Trishuli river along the Prithvi Highway, Friday morning.

The bus (Ga 1 Kha 3709) fell off the road near Chandi Bhanjayang, Mungling (around 110 km west of Kathmandu) at around 3.30 am local authorities said.

The injured have been rushed to Bharatpur Hospital.

A witness at the scene of the accident said at least 40 people were on board.
